As Membership and Business Development Manager at the Heritage Railway Association, Jo brings a wealth of experience in corporate fundraising, business development, and partnership building. Jo has a strong background in expanding corporate partnerships and exceeding targets during challenging times and successfully grew Solent Mind's partnerships fourfold over 5 years as well as launching new events and corporate volunteering programs.
In addition to her fundraising expertise, Jo has a solid commercial background from developing and managing her own businesses. She founded and grew Scarlet Bakes, a food manufacturing business that became a multiple award-winning producer and secured contracts with prestigious retailers like Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, and Selfridges. This honed her skillset particularly around strategic planning, marketing, and building customer loyalty.
Her expertise lies in understanding corporate motivations, creative problem-solving, and effective stewardship, allowing her to cultivate long-term relationships that align with both corporate and organizational objectives.
Jo is really looking forward to getting to know our members better and is passionate about leveraging her relationship-building skills, creative mindset, and multi-sector experience to enhance membership value, drive business growth, and promote the heritage railway sector.
