Morgan Award for Rolling Stock Preservation
The HRA Morgan Award for Rolling Stock Preservation
Criteria:
Awarded for a significant and high-quality restoration or recreation of a carriage, wagon, piece of hauled rolling stock or assemblage of rolling stock to a specific theme. This includes light rail or funicular vehicles that are not self-propelled.
Judges are looking for evidence of significance in heritage, restoration, interpretation and operation. Think about why your project represents a significant milestone, how it has helped your organisation fulfil its purpose, furthered its aims or transformed its outcomes. Accuracy of the restoration or recreation, attention to detail and demonstrating an approach to ensuring quality are also very important.
If your project represents a first in some way, has overcome significant challenges or has used innovative practices, please explain how.
The project can be a restoration or significant overhaul, but must be complete.
TOP TIP: It's normally easier to work on your draft submission in a text document then paste it into the submission form when you're ready. Be clear and concise, use bullet points if neccessary.
