Station of the Year Award

Station of the Year Award

Station of the Year Award

Criteria:

Awarded to an operational station or halt on an HRA member railway, tramway or funicular for excellence in restoration or maintenance, customer service, facilities, and attention to detail.

There are 460 heritage rail stations in the UK – we want to celebrate the very best. Judges will expect to hear more about what makes your station special, how you make passengers using your station feel welcome, and examples of the care given to protect and enhance your station.

How do you provide the facilities that 21st Century visitors expect, while protecting the heritage ambience of your station? How do you ensure your station is as accessible as possible to a wide variety of audiences?

Don’t forget to tell us about the people who make it all possible. What do staff or volunteers at the station get out of their dedication to the cause? Are there any personal stories they’d like to share?

TOP TIP: It's normally easier to work on your draft submission in a text document then paste it into the submission form when you're ready. Be clear and concise, use bullet points if neccessary.
