Heritage Boiler Steam Services Ltd (HBSS) specialise in the manufacture and restoration of steam locomotive boilers. The company was formed in 2017 by Robert Adamson and Andrew Wilcock. Robert and Andrew have combined experience of over 40 years working in the heritage railway industry as boiler-smiths, having previously worked for well-established locomotive boiler companies. The Company now employs a skilled workforce at its well outfitted workshop, based in Huyton, Merseyside. HBSS is currently undertaking a number of new-build and restoration projects for railway owning groups. These projects include boilers for 45551 ‘The Unknown Warrior’, 928 ‘Stowe’, 7200, 2623 ‘Hawarden’, 1014 ‘County of Glamorgan’ and 4253. HBSS pride themselves on the quality of their workmanship with all work being certified to the highest standard. They update all their customers on the progress of their projects regularly and provide photos for them to share with their members. Their Facebook page is regularly updated with photos of work being completed along with information on the progress of each locomotive boiler. They are looking forward to meeting other members of the HRA and sharing their passion for the heritage railway industry.
